The business you see today at shows, on Facebook and in Kempton has had a few twists and turns in becoming "The Rustic Horse". My family originally owned and operated a nursery and garden center from 1978 to 2012, a far cry from the horse industry, but at least it's still agriculture related. My true expertise is in Horticulture, having a BS from Penn State University. In 2009 we tried our first horse expo, and it was a success. We slowly built on that and now we do 14 shows every year. It helps that my daughter and I love animals, and enjoy meeting people in the industry.
The team consists of myself, Sue Miller; my daughter, Samantha Zilinski; and my son-in-law, Joe Zilinski. I call us a team because we all do this in addition to "real" jobs, and it takes a team to do what we do. If you are lucky enough to attend a show that allows dogs, you will also see my grand pups, Pistol and Kimber.
We love searching for unique and quality items to offer our customers. We strive to offer the best customer service, dealing personally, one to one. There is so much enjoyment meeting all of our customers face to face at shows, in this online shopping / tech savvy world. We like hearing all of your stories, both good and bad, about your horses, family and other animals.
